Roosevelt is made by a third-generation family business dedicated to pet health and wellness. The products contain only the highest quality ingredients, produced in a modern facility in a small midwestern town.
Roosevelt offers protein-based dog treats and two distinct food lines.
Treats are available in 5 flavors—beef, chicken, duck, peanut better and pork. Made from all natural ingredients, they’re soft and chewy and your dog would probably like one of each.
The food comes in two distinct lines: grain- free and new ancient grain-inclusive formula. They share common base proteins of chicken, fish and beef as the first main ingredient. Grain-free has a secondary base of lentils and chickpeas. The ancient grain line has carbs like barley, oatmeal, sorghum and quinoa. Both lines have powerful antioxidants like blueberries and cranberries.
This gives you more options for a rotational diet without upsetting your dog’s tum tum by making wholesale changes in their diet.
Why We Love It
Roosevelt is transparent about their ingredients. It’s the first thing you’ll notice (right after how cool the bag looks). Some brands just list “protein” without telling you how much comes from plants or meat but Roosevelt puts theirs right on the bag. In fact, they even map out where all their ingredients come from. The protein is sourced from America’s Heartland and everything is traceable. It has balanced omega fatty acids and it’s rich in antioxidants. It’s also an exceptional value.
Great For Rotational Feeding
Switching up the protein and carbohydrate sources are a great way to prevent food allergies, nutritional deficiencies and imbalances - not to mention boredom. You can surprise your dog with beef one night and fish the next, without worrying about them having some serious digestive woes. Since they share consistent bases it’s easy to transition between flavors and get the proper balance and mix of nutrients.
Who Should Use It
Right now, Roosevelt is only available for dogs. The food is a very well-balanced diet for puppies*, adults and seniors alike. Oh, and the treats? Those are perfect for training, motivating, snacking and rewarding good dogs at all life stages.
But remember, any dry food is tricky for older dogs, who might not be getting enough water and may need a food with a higher moisture content. Also, if you’re worried about your dog’s blood sugar, Roosevelt could be the right choice thanks to its low glycemic index.
Roosevelt is only available in our stores or on our website. It’s exclusive to us, because we are special.
